Basic terrain types

DESTRUCTIBLE TERRAIN

The grey or brown brick walls of the ‘industrial’ terrain are destructible. However, you will still need a unit with good fire power, such as a Commander or Grenadier, to destroy industrial terrain. Most objects and furniture are also destructible.

INDESTRUCTIBLE TERRAIN

All of the blue coloured ‘military’ terrain is indestructible. Force fields, relay posts and power tubes are also indestructible.

LOW TERRAIN

Low walls, sand bags, power tubes and various objects are low enough to see over. Flying units may also pass over them.

MID HEIGHT TERRAIN

The wire fences, wired walls and military fort style walls are about 2 metres tall. Grenadiers and Goo Spitters can fire over these walls.

HIGH TERRAIN

All other walls, force fields and relay posts are considered to be much higher than 2 metres, although we don’t show this because it would block too much of the view. Grenadiers and Goo Spitters cannot fire over these walls.

EXPLOSIVE TERRAIN

The gas canisters and power cells will explode when they are destroyed, damaging terrain and units around them. A power cell which is activated (glowing orange) will explode with much greater force than a deactivated power cell.
