Main Screen
Once you have registered your account you need to enter the information
in the main screen (you can still play the tutorials or the hotseat
game without doing this). There are three essential pieces of information
to enter:
Player name: Enter your player name here. This
must be exactly the same as the name you registered and it is case
sensitive (‘a’ is not the same as ‘A’).
Password: Enter your password here exactly as
you chose when you registered. Your password is also case sensitive.
Email address: Enter your email address here.
This can be any email address that you want to use to play the game
and doesn’t have to be the same as the one you used to register
your account. You can always change your email address at any time.
When you start a game, send a turn or use one of the game management
options your new email address will be registered with the central
database and your results will be returned to this new email address
in the future.
The main screen contains a number of buttons that take you to
other screens.
CAMPAIGN MISSIONS: This button will take you to
the Campaign Missions Screen for playing single-player missions
against a computer opponent.
TUTORIALS: Play the tutorials to learn the game
quickly and easily.
NEW ONLINE GAME: Start a new internet game against
another registered player or anybody you know with an email address.
This takes you to the ‘New Online Game’ screen.
NEW HOTSEAT GAME: Start a new game against another
player using the same computer. This takes you directly to the ‘Scenario
Options’ screen.
WEB INTERFACE: Connect to the Laser Squad Nemesis
web interface. This button will launch your web browser and attempt
to connect to the internet.
MANAGE GAMES: You can resend your last orders
for a game, get the last results for a game or retrieve the whole
game file for a game.
SOUND/VIDEO OPTIONS: Change video and sound options
to improve game performance.
MAP CREATOR: Create and edit your own battle maps.
VISIT WEBSITE: Visit the Laser Squad Nemesis website
HELP: Help for the main screen, and access to
game help files and information for each race.
QUIT: Close down the Laser Squad Nemesis software.
