Navigating the map
SCROLLING

The map will be generally much larger than the window (or screen),
so you need to learn how to move around it effectively. There are
three methods:
- Click on one of the 8 scroll buttons in the corners and middle
edges of the window.
- Use the four arrow keys on the keyboard.
- Use the middle mouse button. Press and hold the middle mouse
button and the map window will scroll in a direction and speed
determined by the position of the mouse relative to the centre
of the map window. This takes a little practice, but is a very
effective way of navigating the map.
ZOOMING

You can also zoom out to see more of the map, or zoom in to see
more detail. There are three methods of doing this.
- Press the zoom in or zoom out buttons on the middle panel.
There is also a ‘zoom reset’ button to set the zoom
level to the standard, default zoom level.
- Use the ‘+’ key on the keyboard to zoom in, and
the ‘-’ key to zoom out.
- Roll the mouse wheel forwards to zoom in, and backwards to
zoom out.
There are normally 7 levels of zoom, but if you are using ‘2D
card’ mode there are only 2 levels.
