AMMUNITION

Generally, each shot will consume one unit of ammunition. If a unit has no ammunition left it is unable to shoot and must reload at an HQ. You have to keep a careful watch on your units’ ammunition levels because it is still possible to plot fire orders, even if the unit’s ammunition has run out.

A unit's current ammunition level is shown in the unit panel on the bottom left. The number on the left shows the current level, and the number on the right shows the maximum level.

GREYS AND ENERGY

The ammunition level of Grey units represents the units energy level, which is used to power their energy shield and their weapons. Damage is absorbed by the energy shield first before it affects endurance. This means that damage is applied to a Grey units energy, and then once that reaches zero the unit's endurance is reduced.

Grey weapons will use energy in the same way that other units use ammunition. However, some Grey weapons will use more than one energy point for a shot.

All Grey units will recover a small amount of energy over time, but energy can be replenished more quickly at a Regenerator.

If you select a Grey unit you will see an energy bar above the endurance bar. A yellow bar represents full energy, but it turns blue as energy depletes. The ammunition display in the unit panel will also show the current and maximum levels of energy.
